+ Where can I use the Adhesive Flexible Multi-Lock?
It can be used in many different situations such as on appliances, cabinet drawers, furniture drawers, toilets, trashcans, and more. Never use these on windows as the UV light quickly breaks down the adhesive, making them unsafe. They are also not recommended for use on stoves or ovens. If you have double cabinet doors, we strongly recommend you use our Adhesive Double Door Lock as that is specifically designed for that situation and offers a safer and better solution.
+ How hard is it for kids to open it?
The double action lock buttons must be pushed in simultaneously in order to open. The push force is easy enough for an adult to do with one hand, but hard enough to prevent children from figuring out how to open it.
+ How do you close it?
Position the lock over the locking guide on the mounting plate and push.
+ What is the size?
It’s 9” long and each end is 2” in diameter.
+ How strong is the adhesive on this lock? Will it keep determined kids, cats and dogs out?
When installed according to the instructions our Adhesive Flexible Multi-Lock is surprisingly strong and will withstand a pull force of at least 40 lbs. This is way more force than a child can exert and will keep pets out as well.
+ Will the adhesive come off easily when I want to remove it?
When you remove the Adhesive Multi-Lock, the foam that is in between the two outer surfaces with the adhesive will actually break, which is exactly what it is supposed to do. You can then use your finger to roll back the adhesive tape. Any remaining adhesive residue can be removed with a solvent type adhesive remover. This is a huge advantage if you’re renting your home.
