Package includes 2 Y-Spindles. If you have spindles on both sides, you will need to purchase two sets of Pressure Mount Y-Spindles so you have one for the top and bottom on both sides of the baby gate.

Qdos Pressure Mount Y-Spindles are designed as an adapter to help you safely install your Qdos pressure mount baby gate at the bottom of the stairs where round banisters or spindles are present. Qdos Pressure Mount Y-Spindles can be used in up to four attachment points, depending on whether you have banisters or spindles on the top and bottom, on one or both sides of your stairway. + Why would I need Y-Spindles?
Y-Spindles are used in 1-4 attachment points on Qdos Pressure Mount Baby Gates where there is a round banister up to 3” in diameter or a spindle present.
+ Can I use these at the top of the stairs?
No, Qdos recommends never using any pressure mount baby gate at the top of the stairs due to the inherent trip hazard.
+ Will the Qdos Y-Spindles only work with Qdos baby gates?
Yes, our Y-Spindles have been designed and tested only for use with Qdos Pressure Mount Baby Gates.
+ What colors do the Y-Spindles come in?
Our Y-Spindles come in White or Slate to match Qdos baby gates.
+ Can Y-Spindles be used on Square Banisters?
Yes, if the Square Banister is positioned with a corner facing the baby gate. They cannot be used on the flat side of the square rail.
+ If I have spindles present on both sides where I am mounting by baby gate, can I use Y-Spindles on both sides?
Yes, it is perfectly fine to use Y-Spindles on both sides.
+ Can I use the Y-Spindles with a Hardware Mount Baby Gate?
No, our Y-Spindles are only for use with Qdos Pressure Mount Baby Gates.
+ Can I use Y-Spindles on the big post at the bottom of my stairs where I am mounting my baby gate?
Yes, as long as the surface where you are using the Y-Spindle is round and not more than 3” in diameter.
