Yes, two extensions come with the Spectrum Designer Pressure Mount Baby Gate, which fits an opening up to 37.8” wide. You can add up to 4 more extensions for a maximum width of 48.8”.
+ Will this baby gate work in my house that has quarter round molding?
Yes, the Spectrum Designer Pressure Mount Baby Gate comes with the unique Qdos QRF spindle head that allow a perfect installation over quarter round molding, which is not possible with standard round spindle heads.
+ Will this baby gate work with a wooden banister at the bottom of my stairs?
Yes, but you will likely need to add our Universal Stair Mounting Kit which will give you a flat and secure place to safely mount your baby gate.
+ During installation, how do I know when I have given it enough pressure?
The bottom spindles have the AccuInstal Indicator to tell you when they are installed correctly. Simply continue tightening the nuts until the red area of the AccuInstall Indicator disappears. For the top spindles, tighten the hand wheels until the distance between the gate and the handle is 1/8” for proper locking function.
+ Is there a visual way to know that this baby gate is securely closed/locked?
Yes, the handle on the door has the At-A-Glance Lock Indicator which shows Green if the baby gate is securely locked and Red if it is not properly locked.
+ Can this baby gate be used outside?
No, all Qdos Baby Gates are designed to be used indoors only.
